I have a sweet smelling dream ;-))

It`s funny... some days you get up and you know what you have to do, mainly because it`s your daily routine. Brush your teeth, have a shower, eat your toast, go to work etc....

Soap making is a break from that routine, & we love it!


 I suppose most crafty people wake up & feel like they must put their dreams into action - some of the time we do & it`s a complete disaster!, but we have a go anyway ;-)

Making cold process soap is often a task full of surprises, good results are due to the balance of all the factors & a great deal of planning!! This is a picture of our next soap in the first stages.  At this point its called 'Decadance'.

Dozens of curls are hand sliced then `stuffed` like cannelloni with mini pink balls, we think they look a bit like licorich allsorts

Colours, shapes & textures are key to giving our traditionally made soap that `quirky` look.
With the addition of a wide varied recipe book we choose to mix the oils with beautiful luxury butters such as avocado butter, mango butter, shea butter & cocoa butter, to make your skin feel great.
Over the next few days we shall post the progress of Decadance.

Oh no don`t be sad..Widnes Vintage Rally Event Cancelled

Oh no soggy fields and big heavy vehicles make for a very messy day.
Widnes council has decided to cancel the weekend event due to bad conditions, Victoria Park where the event was going to be held is a public park that is used all year round, so they couldn`t afford to damage the grass for the rest of the year, so thats the bad news...
...the good news is we are back at Kenyon Farm Hall on Sunday instead Hurray!!
so never mind the rain, come down & visit all the fantastic crafters from the local area & browse their fantastic handmade gifts & treats, all undercover, dry & toasty warm.
Heavenly bodies have some cracking new soaps on display...together with our famous `skull `bath bombs which have been selling like hot cakes..so don`t miss out see you there on Sunday 30th September 2012

Future Events...Norton Priory Runcorn

We are looking forward to this weekend for the Widnes Vintage Rally, then our next venue will be at Norton Priory on the 14th October 2012 which is a truly beautiful place with amazing gardens and steeped in history, right on our doorstep!
An abbey which dates back to the 12th century, together with a museum makes for an interesting day out, however this day extra special because it`s `apple & quince day` it`s when we say farewell to the Summer & look forward to falling leaves and the ripe fruits of Autumn.
 A celebration of English fruits & a day of discovery.... market stalls along with a craft fair all with a chance to sample handmade jellies, jams & chutneys, these I`m sure will delight the taste buds...come along and say hello & enjoy a wonderful leisurely browse in heavenly surroundings.
